Swim Lessons Level Descriptions
Prelevel
AGE: 2 AND 3 YEAR OLDS
They will learn:
- How to blow bubbles
- How to enter and exit a pool
- How to kick on their front and back
- How to get ears wet and under water
- How to float on their front and back
Level 1
AGE: 4 AND 5 YEAR OLDS
They will learn:
- How to bob in the water
- How to float on their front and back
- How to Glide on their front and back
- How to alternate arm action
- How to combine arm and leg action
- How to retrieve objects underwater
Level 2
AGE: 5 AND 6 YEAR OLDS
They will learn:
- How to tread water
- How to enter the deep end of the pool
- Rotary breathing
- How to fully submerge themselves (10 sec)
- How to roll front to back
Level 3
AGE: 7 AND 8 YEAR OLDS
They will learn:
- Basics of diving
- All the different kicks
- Introduce all the strokes
- How to tread water (1 min)
Level 4
AGE: 9 AND UP
They will learn:
- How to dive
- Flip turns
- How to tread water (2 min)
- How to swim long distances (25 yds)
- Proficiency in each stroke
Level 5
AGE: 10 AND UP
They will learn:
- All dives proficiently
- How to tread water (5 min)
- How to swim long distances with all strokes (25 yds)
- How to build and increase endurance
